<h3>1. Maple Manhattan</h3>

Combine the maple syrup and 2 dashes of bitters, stir to mix. Add ice cubes and rye whiskey Add a crispy strip of Canadian bacon to garnish.</p></blockquote>

It&#8217;s time to gather ourselves up and head for the patios, rooftops and cafes to share good times. So, in honour of spring here&#8217;s a variation on the classic Manhattan with just enough maple syrup to sweeten things up.</p>

Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with 3 ice cubes. Shake vigorously, then strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a slice of orange and a maraschino cherry.</p>

<p><strong>Ingredients</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>1 1/2 oz Jameson</li>
<li>3/4 oz sweet vermouth</li>
<li>2 dashes Angostura bitters</li>
<li>1 can Guinness</li>
<li>Maraschino cherry</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preparation<br />
</strong>Combine the whiskey, vermouth, and bitters to a mixing glass.  Fill the glass 2/3 of the way full with ice. Stir for15-20 seconds, then strain into a chilled martini glass. Pour a can of Guinness into a tall glass and allow to settle. Gently scoop all the light foam from the top of the Guinness and place it on top of the drink. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.</p>

Combine Guinness, Jameson and ice cream in a blender until well mixed together. Drizzle the inside of a chilled glass with the chocolate syrup, then pour in the ice cream mixture. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.</p>
