Love Potions – Bloody Passion

As Valentine’s Day approaches passions are burning and this seductive cocktail will help fan the flames.
The Bloody Passion Cocktail is featured in the chapter “Passion’s Promise” in the new Madtini book Love Potions: 50 Cupid Approved Cocktails for Valentine’s Day available now at Amazon.

A mixture of Hpnotiq passion fruit liqueur, pineapple juice and a just a dash of grenadine give this drink a gorgeous colour and a lush fruity taste that’s sure to ignite your Valentine’s passions.

BLOODY PASSION COCKTAIL

Glass: Old Fashioned Glass
2 oz/60 ml Hpnotiq Liqueur
2 oz/60 ml Pineapple Juice
Dash of Grenadine
Mix the Hpnotiq, pineapple juice and a few splashes of grenadine in an ice filled highball glass.

If this cinnamony, spicy cocktail doesn’t set your passions on fire, we don’t know what will.
This spicy, hot Valentine’s Day cocktail is from the chapter “Spicing Things Up” in our new Madtini book Love Potions: 50 Cupid Approved Cocktails For Valentine’s Day available at Amazon.

A mix of cinnamon schnapps, Southern Comfort, Tabasco Sauce and a cinnamon schnapps soaked cherry bring both spicy heat and southern sweet to the Ball of Fire. This will surely start the fires of love.

BALL OF FIRE

Glass: Martini glass
1 oz/30 ml Southern Comfort
3 oz/90 ml Cinnamon Schnapps
1 dash Tabasco Sauce
1 Cherry

Soak cherry in 1 oz of Cinnamon Schnapps in bottom of a martini glass for 5 minutes. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over cherry.

Satin Sheets Cocktail is the first of the Valentine’s Day cocktails we’ve mixed up here at Madtini World Headquarters to celebrate not only Valentine’s Day, a day devoted to love, but also it’s the first of our featured Valentine’s Day cocktails from Madtini’s new book Love Potions: 50 Cupid Approved Cocktails For Valentine’s Day now available at Amazon.

Satin Sheets is in the chapter “On Cloud 9” from Love Potions – a chapter devoted to creamy, dreamy romantic cocktails. With a mixture of Kahlua, Baileys Irish Cream, Godiva Chocolate liqueur and milk served over ice – this chocolately cocktail is rich and delicious but is surprisingly not as sweet and heavy as you’d imagine.

SATIN SHEETS COCKTAIL

Glass: Old Fashioned Glass
1 oz/30 ml Kahlua
1 oz/30 ml Baileys Irish Cream
1 oz/30 ml Godiva Chocolate liqueur
3 oz/90 ml Milk
Mix Kahlua, Baileys and chocolate liqueurs into an ice filled old fashioned glass. Add milk to fill the glass. Garnish with shaved chocolate.

Madtini’s 6 Kissable Cocktails for Valentine’s Day

February 14th is only a few days away, and that means that Madtini Labs is awash in feelings of love, affection and inappropriate suggestions… which in reality is nothing that unusual for the weekend.

So, white our HR department deals those pressing issues we’re posting our collection of 6 Kissable Cocktails for St. Valentine’s Day.

We noticed once we had narrowed our choices down, there seemed to be an obvious focus on dessert inspired cocktails. That’s not necessarily a good thing for our already tenuous grip on a few of our new year’s resolutions.

1. Raspberry Truffle Martini

Ingredients

1 oz vodka

3/4 oz Kahlua

3/4 oz Chambord

whipped cream

dark chocolate shavings

Preparation
Combine the vodka, Kahlua and Chambord in a cocktail shaker with 3-4 ice cubes. Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

2. Raspberry Souffle Martini

Ingredients

1 oz Chambord

2 oz Vanilla Vodka

1 oz White Creme De Cacao

Whipped Cream

Fresh Raspberries

Preparation
Combine chambord, vanilla vodka and creme de cacao

Pour the Raspberry Liqueur, Vanilla Vodka, and Creme De Cacao into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. To make this into a true dessert, add a dallop of whipped cream topped with fresh raspberries.

3. Agave Kiss

Ingredients

2 oz Sauza Silver Tequila

1 oz white creme de cacao

1 oz double cream

1/2 oz Chambord

white chocolate shavings

fresh raspberries

Preparation
Wet the rim of a cocktail glass and roll the edge in white chocolate shavings. Place 3-4 ice cubes in cocktail glass in place in the freezer. Combine the tequila, creme de cacao and chambord in a cocktail shaker with 3 ice cubes. Shake for 10 seconds. Add the double cream and stir well. Remove glass from freezer and strain contents of shaker into it. Skewer 3 fresh raspberries and serve.

4. Chocolate Swirl Martini

Ingredients

1 1/2 oz Godiva white chocolate liqueur

1 1/2 oz Creme de Cacao

1 oz Vodka

2 1/2 oz Half & Half

Chocolate Shavings

Preparation

Chill a cocktail glass in the freezer for 10 minutes. Remove the glass and create swirls inside the glass using chocolate syrup, return the glass to the freezer.

Combine the vodka, creme de cacao and white chocolate liqueur in a cocktail shaker with 3 ice cubes. Shake well, add the half & half and stir.

Remove the glass from the freezer, add a tablespoon of white chocolate liqueur to a shallow glass. Turn the glass in the liqueur, then turn it in the chocolate shavings.

5. Strawberry Flirt

Ingredients

2 oz Smirnoff Vodka

1 oz Fragoli Wild Strawberry liqueur

3 oz Prosecco (we used Villa Sandi)

Preparation
Chill two champagne flutes. Combine the vodka and wild strawberry liqueur in a cocktail shaker with 3 ice cubes. Shake for 6-7 seconds and then add to the chilled flute glasses. Add Prosecco and garnish with several fresh sliced strawberries. Serve, savour and enjoy.

6. German Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

1 oz Jagermeister

2 oz Brown Creme de Cacao

Splash of Malibu Coconut Rum

Butterscotch Schnapps

Chocolate Flakes

Preparation
Combine the Jagermeister and Creme de Cacao in a stemmed shot glass. Add a splash of Malibu Coconut Rum and Butterscotch Schnapps and you’re ready to roll. Add a few flakes of chocolate to garnish.

The Chocolate Swirl Martini

Valentine’s Day is only a week away, so it’s high time the Madtini Labs intoxicologists get cracking on mixng up some delicious cocktails for that special day.

The Chocolate Swirl Martini is a hybrid of a several different vodka, chocolate cocktails. We couldn’t resist adding a chocolate shavings to the rim and creating swirls of chocolate inside the glass.

Ingredients

1 1/2 oz Godiva white chocolate liqueur

1 1/2 oz Creme de Cacao

1 oz Vodka

2 1/2 oz Half & Half

Chocolate Shavings

Preparation

Chill a cocktail glass in the freezer for 10 minutes. Remove the glass and create swirls inside the glass using chocolate syrup, return the glass to the freezer.

Combine the vodka, creme de cacao and white chocolate liqueur in a cocktail shaker with 3 ice cubes. Shake well, add the half & half and stir.

Remove the glass from the freezer, add a tablespoon of white chocolate liqueur to a shallow glass. Turn the glass in the liqueur, then turn it in the chocolate shavings.

Replace the top of the shaker and strain into the chilled cocktail glass. Add a few pinches of chocolate shavings to the glass.
