The sun is going down, It’s Nuitini time!

Madtini Nuitini
Tonight is the fifth anniversary of Toronto’s all-night contemporary Nuit Blanche. Art installations will take over the streets, buildings, parks and courtyards throughout the city for 12 hours from 7pm to 7am. The Madtini crew is layering up and getting ready for a night of fun (and a whole lot of walking).

To help us stay up night we’re going to need a lot of coffee, so why not create a cocktail using it. We mixed up a delicious combination of strong black coffee, amaretto, cream, chambord and simple syrup, topped off with a healthy tablespoon of whipped cream. We’ve dubbed it the Nuitini.

  • 1 1/2 oz Amaretto
  • 1 1/2 oz Cream
  • 3 oz strong dark coffee
  • 1/2 oz Chambord
  • 1 tbsp of simple syrup
  • whipped cream

Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a splash healthy tablespoon of whipped cream.

Cheers and see you on the streets tonight.

Blended Awesomeness… the Disaronno Deuce

Disaronno Deuce

Disaronno Deuce

The first thing you notice about Amaretto is that it smells like almonds, but there are no almonds or nuts in it at all. Disaronno Amaretto’s distinctive taste comes from apricot kernel oil along with absolute alcohol (Ethyl alcohol containing no more than one percent water), burnt sugar and the pure essence of seventeen selected herbs and fruit.

It all adds up to pure awesomeness… we added fresh strawberries, Grenadine syrup and cream… oh, and topped it off with whipped cream and more sliced strawberries.

Cheers, and happy summer weekending from the gang at Madtini.

  • 2 oz – Disaronno Amaretto
  • 1 oz – Cream
  • 4 Strawberries
  • 1/2 oz – Grenadine Sryup
  • Whipped Cream

Combine the ingredients together in a blender with ice. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with thin wedges of fresh strawberry and whipped cream.
