Love Potions – Satin Sheets
Satin Sheets Cocktail is the first of the Valentine’s Day cocktails we’ve mixed up here at Madtini World Headquarters to celebrate not only Valentine’s Day, a day devoted to love, but also it’s the first of our featured Valentine’s Day cocktails from Madtini’s new book Love Potions: 50 Cupid Approved Cocktails For Valentine’s Day now available at Amazon.
Satin Sheets is in the chapter “On Cloud 9″ from Love Potions – a chapter devoted to creamy, dreamy romantic cocktails. With a mixture of Kahlua, Baileys Irish Cream, Godiva Chocolate liqueur and milk served over ice – this chocolately cocktail is rich and delicious but is surprisingly not as sweet and heavy as you’d imagine.

From Russia With Love in Black & White
It’s Friday night again, and despite the fact that it’s the day after St. Patrick’s Day the entire Madtini crew is still standing and ready to roll ourselves into yet another weekend.
We’re keeping it simple tonight and serving up two of the most famous vodka cocktails; the Black Russian and its creamy cousin the White Russian.
After a few of these drinks I’m sure we’ll donning our big Russian winter hats and sing-shouting the lyrics to Boney M’s historically-dicey disco ode to infamous Russian nutjob ‘Rasputin’. Everybody sing “Ra-Ra-rasputin… Russia’s Greatest Love Machine…”

We’re throwing caution to the warm breeze and stripping off our gloves, trapper hats and snow pants. Yes, we’re trying to forget that the temperature is forecasted to drop to -6 C overnight with snow on the way for Sunday.
In the meantime, let’s drink to Friday with something simple, yet delicious: Kahlua and Coke over ice. Cheers!

Our best wishes are with his family at this difficult time. (and yes, we are kidding – Manuel is just fine and has been deservingly promoted to Junior Ice Management Technician… still unpaid) ; )

Halloween Cocktails #9, The Dra-Kahlua
The Boris Karloff version of Count Dracula will always be the ‘definitive’ vampire in our minds here at Madtini Labs (although Gary Oldman did an awesome job too). Our interns may go on dreamily about spending eternal life with Twilight’s Edward, Bill or Eric of True Blood – we know that the Count could have kicked their brooding, sparkling butts around Transylvania any day of the week.
Once we read the name of this drink on the Intoxicologist’s blog we knew we had to include it in our 2010 collection of Halloween drinks. The drink is a classy blend of coffee liqueur and citrus flavours – but be careful we haven’t tested this one is daylight yet.
Cheers and Happy Hallowe’en from Madtini.
