Cookie Cocktails… The Macaroon Cookie Martini

Ingredients

  • 1 oz coconut rum
  • 1 oz white creme de cacao
  • 1 oz amaretto
  • shredded coconut

Preparation
Dip the rim of the cocktail glass in the creme de cacao, then into the ground coconut, then chill the glass in the freezer until ready

Pour the rum, creme de cacao and amaretto into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until sufficiently chilled. Strain into the chilled cocktail glass.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz dark creme de cacao
  • 3/4 oz cream
  • 1 1/2 oz vanilla vodka
  • crushed Oreo cookies for rim

Preparation

Dip the rim of the cocktail glass in the creme de cacao and then into the finely crushed Oreos. Take glass and place in freezer to chill.

Pour vanilla vodka. cream and dark creme de cacao into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into the chilled cocktail glass.

Cookie Cocktails… The Peanut Butter Cookie Martini

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Frangelico
  • 1 1/2 oz Butterscotch Schnapps
  • 3/4 oz Vodka
  • 1/4 oz Creme de Cacao
  • Finely crushed Peanut Butter Cookie

Preparation
Dip the rim of the cocktail glass into a small amount of the schnapps poured onto a plate, then roll cocktail glass in the finely crushed cookie crumbs. Place the glass into the freezer to chill.

Add the frangelico, butterscotch schnapps, vodka and creme de cacao into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Shake vigorously until chilled, then strain into the chilled cocktail glass.

Its not a huge secret that most everyone here at Madtini loves Mojitos, the blast of freshness from mint leaves will leave anyone’s taste bugs craving more. We’ve made Mojitos with a hint of maple syrup,  as well as pineapple and peppercorns.

We’re always on the look out for new ideas for Mojitos, and we stumbled upon a listing this for a Mayan Chocolate Mojito created by the Karisma Hotels Resorts in the Riviera Maya in Mexico. If you’re a chocolate lover you’ll love the combination of fresh mint, lime and lush chocolate.

Ingredients

3/4 oz simple syrup
1 ½ oz white creme de cacao
½ oz white rum
4 fresh mint leaves
1/2 lime

Preparation

Muddle the lime pieces, simple syrup and mint leaves in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Strain into an cocktail glass field with ice. Add the creme de cacao, top with rum and garnish with a sprig of mint.

We really love birthdays and celebrations here at the Madtini Research Labs and when a little birdie told us that today was @MissVerna‘s special day we got busy trying to create the perfect birthday cocktail.

Vanilla vodka, creme de cacao and Kahlua all in one glass? Pure decadence. Have a wonderfully decadent day, Verna!

The MissV-Va-Voom- Vanilla Chocolate Coffee Cake

  • 2 1/2 oz Twist of Vanilla Smirnoff Vodka
  • 1 oz Creme de Cacao
  • 1/2 oz Kahlua

Preparation:

Pour Vanilla Vodka, Creme de Cacao and Kahula over ice, stir with a long spoon and pour into a martini glass with a sugared rim.

It was close but the delicious Bailey’s Chocolate Martini squeaked out a win over the Kiwitini and the Red Hot Chilitini. We’ll be back on March 6 with another Madtini Cocktail Smackdown! :)

Competitor 2 – Bailey’s Chocolate Martini

  • 2 oz Bailey’s
  • 1 oz crème de cacao
  • 1 oz vodka
  • Mint sprig

Add Bailey’s, Creme de Cacao and Vodka to cocktail shaker full of ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and add a sprig of fresh mint.

Kiwi Martini VS. Bailey's Chocolate Martini VS. Red Hot Chili Martiini

Welcome to the second Madtini Cocktail Smackdown. Tonight we went for a wide variety of flavours and it turned into a three-way battle for the ages, from sweet to hot to fruity to chocolatey. Which drink will reign supreme, vote now on the Twtpoll below!

Competitor 1 – Kiwi Martini (Kiwitini)

  • 3 oz vodka
  • Juice from Half a lime
  • Tspn of simple syrup

Muddle one kiwi in a cocktail shaker with simple syrup. Add ice and shake. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lice of kiwi

Competitor 2 – Bailey’s Chocolate Martini

  • 2 oz Bailey’s
  • 1 oz crème de cacao
  • 1 oz vodka
  • Mint sprig

Add Bailey’s, Creme de Cacao and Vodka to cocktail shaker full of ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and add a sprig of fresh mint.

Competitor 3 – Red Hot Chilitini

  • 1 chili pepper
  • 2 oz vodka
  • nectarine
  • ½ oz simple syrup

Clean chillies, remove seeds, muddle the chili with nectarine with simple syrup and Vodka. Shake well with ice, strain into a cocktail glass rimmed with sugar.


The White Out – 12 Days of @Madtini Holiday Cocktails – Day 12

Ingredients:

  • Vodka
  • White Creme de Cacao
  • Heavy (double) cream

Preparation:
Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake, then strain contents into a cocktail glass. Garnish with flakes of white chocolate.

Ingredients:

  • 1 part Bailey’s Irish Cream
  • 1 part creme de cacao
  • 1 part banana liqueur
  • 1 part eggnog

Preparation:
Combine in cocktail shaker filled with ice – serve in chilled martini/cocktail glass.
